![]() ![]() Please read the details of our Animagus lore, that can be found here. Our moderators may tell you to edit or re-write your application, or (temporarily) deny it if it does not conform to the rules outlined here or the general rules that apply to our site. For example, a person living around the Sahara desert turning into a polar bear would be extremely uncommon, and you would have to reflect in your application why exactly this animal and no other fits your character. ![]() Take this into account when writing your application. ![]() As a level of kinship is required and there is purpose and thought involved in the ritual, it would not be possible for a wizard to become an Animagus of an animal that they do not know of, or that is from a species that has become extinct. It is usual but not necessary for an Animagus to take on the appearance of an animal commonly found in the wizard's native lands. When you choose your animal, be aware that your Animagus form cannot be an extinct animal that has become extinct before the 20th century (1900s), nor can it be a rumored to be real animal (cryptozoology). Your Animagus has be an animal (humans are considered not to be animals here). This might be changed in the future, once we have a stable population of 5th Year students and can assess the scope of the moderation effort that handling these applications will put on the staff team. ![]() You have to be a 5th Year student or above to apply for Animagus.Īt this time, iNPCs cannot apply to gain this ability. Note: If you apply for this during summer months and want to say you learned the ability over summer, please reach out to one of the Hogwarts mentors listed below (Headmaster, Deputy Headmaster, Heads of House, Transfig professor) to confirm they would be willing to guide you over the summer rather than during the school year. ![]()
